its called a dance party, not a talk party. Dj's hope to tell people like you to stfu by turning the volume up to very high levels (although also because it just sounds cool) because talking people are a real killer for people who are there to get their groove on.
dont go to a dance party alone. its just no fun unless you're a real party animal who can win over people just by his attitude but sounds like you're not really that person. Also, i think most people have an aversion against loners, especially on a dance floor.
next time you go to a dance party keep the mind set that you will hook up with someone. so instead of being nice and respectful, you are just using your words so by the end of the night her clothes will be off.

I do a lot of clubbing, and I never go looking for people honestly. I go there with my friends and, since I really love music and the cathartic release of dancing, just get my freak on. Usually if you're an intense and enthusiastic enough dancer, people will gravitate to you. That's how I've gotten a couple of dates and made many friends at dance parties and clubs.
