Well, I have three weeks left in high school, I should be happy, but I am not. There is this girl that I like you see, that I have liked for a long time, and I recently lost my last chance with her.

She is amazing, beautiful, kind and spontaneous. We have been friends for a bit now I suppose, and for a while she was the only girl in my grade who I could have an honest conversation with. Over the past week, we were going on a school sponsored trip, and I had worked up my courage (I have a social phobia :/ ) to ask her to prom over the trip. So imagine my surprise when, while in the airport, I overhear a conversation and it turns out that she was just asked by another guy at a different school the day before and accepted.

Now, for the first time in 3 years she is in a serious relationship, and I guess I am just out of chances.

As if that wasn't bad enough, another girl, one I am not at all interested in, has been making not-so-subtle moves on me. But even that isn't enough, because one of my friends just so happens to be madly in love withe the girl who likes me. Now I am stuck right in the middle of all this, and my last year in high school couldn't suck more.

Just try your luck before the prom with the girl you like, then. Might have unexpected results, but you said your last year in high school couldn't suck more. So do it.

I am a senior, I already took all my tests, I am awaiting acceptance from a few schools, but no turn downs yet in that regard :/

I might take #3's advise anyway. I really have nothing to lose as you say.

I'd agree with #3, I would take that advice, and try anyway;

You don't have anything to lose, as you never officially heard she'd already been asked... Who says she's in a relationship just because some guy from another school asked her... She might be much happier to turn him down and go with you, someone from her own school!

(Besides, there's also the chance that she might say "Oh, wait, my friend <x> doesn't have anyone to go with, would you go with her??" And that itself could lead to an opportunity with someone you never considered...)
