I'm a shy guy and I'm thinking about trying it out and would like to hear what people here thought about the site. It would be great if any of you has ever met anyone from there and told me what happened.

It's not a scam site, it's fairly well laid out & apparently very well visited, if a little confusing... I'll also say that I'm curious, as I've looked it over, and never exactly been clear on what the entire purpose/mission statement is...
At first glance, it would appear to be a dating site, of some sort, but once you start looking, it becomes more unclear...
As near as I could gather, members hold large gettogethers at 'conventions, etc... as well as non-convention get-togethers, but I'm never clear on the specifics or activities or anything...
It's one of those sites that has it's own culture/mentality, and I've never completely understood it, so perhaps someone else using it could enlighten us, as I'm very curious as well...
I took a look at it, and it looks like mostly yet-another social networking site, with a small emphasis on dating/hookups (like most social networking sites).
Unfortunately, it seems as though you need a paid membership to get any useful features out of the site (like the ability to pass messages to other members). I'm too cheap to try it out, I think, but if anyone gets a paid membership and it rocks his or her world, let us know.

I made myself a paid member for that site. Nothing special though. The forums are fun, but that's about it. If you're looking to hook up with someone, try something else. Even though this is supposedly a site for dating/hookups, it seems that very few members actually did so. Maybe everyone's just shy.
