I'm in love with someone, it's a total pain in the ass. How do you kill this shit?
You don't. You go for it, because you always have to.
With fire. Or you ignore it and hope that it goes away.

Why? My life is a mess, I don't know this person and I don't want more aquintances to claim what little energy I have. It's enough having to wake up in the fucking morning. I have to be around her, I don't want to be so damned attentive of her all the time but I can't help it, if it wasn't for these feelings I wouldn't give a rats ass. Knowing that, it only pisses me off.

I've been ignoring it for the past year, it just won't die. She's in my head, whenever she's around I can't think of anything or anyone else. I just want to look at her, talk to her, be close to her and all that cosy woosy shit.
Hormones... Shit sucks

Why must you go for it? You answered it yourself: it just won't die otherwise. As Spaghetti said, you always have to.
I had a guy that I cared deeply for and he felt the same way, but he never said anything until it was much too late. Now I'm probably going to get married to who I am with instead.
So, that's all you can do. Go for it and don't wait too long. Maybe she won't feel the same but at least you'll know. You've got nothing to lose. I mean, do you have her now? No, but if you go for it you might get her. If not, it isn't like you ever had her anyways. You lose nothing.
Do I actually have to tell her I like her just so I can stop liking her? That sucks.
Yes, it sucks, but believe me it feels great to get it off your chest.
Of course, rule #1 is don't confess. Just ask her out.
But if he confesses, wouldn't that solve two problems with one effort? He'd get it off his chest, and it would stop bothering him. She'd say no, so he wouldn't have to deal with the relationship. Best of both worlds, you ask me.
Get Married.
