valentine's day (46)

1 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-17 07:41 ID:80rUa9xg

I know it may be a little early, but I'm curious. What are you guys doing for your sweethearts on valentine's day? Or wish you could do.

Me, I'm giving him a heart-shaped sandwich.

I'd find a job in London and join her in UK, given she's quite depressed she has to go there alone, far from friends and family, in february.

Too bad she doesn't want to be my girlfriend.

3 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-17 17:00 ID:BnRM9YHt

Nothing. She isn't interested, and hates the holiday anyway.

Which is fine by me, I'm a selfish person who doesn't like buying things for people anyway.

well, i'm in a long distance relationship. i'm planning on sending her a sweater of mine, a Yoshi stuffed animal (she loves yoshi) and a thing of Hershies Kisses =] i think she'll like it

Nothing, as both relationships I've been in in the recent past have ended badly, thus I'm back to my good old comfortable mindset of Valentines day being my most despised of holidays...

(Sorry to burst any happy bubbles, I just get very unhappy to put it mildly this time of year, as constant hearts & the color red is shoved in my face in every store I go to, incessantly...)

Ugh, I kinda despise it..do you know how it feels to be the ONLY one in the family with NO ONE. My lil sister with flowers, my big brother with a "i got lucky" smile, and jeezes christ even my mother has a bf. NO HAPPY VALENTINE,no f### you.

7 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-18 22:06 ID:KUd39UYt

In the past I haven't cared at all about Valentines day. I didn't get down or feel alone, I barely noticed. Last year I had just started seeing my first girlfriend and valentines day was a bit weird. I'm guessing this year I'll be back to normal, not caring either way, rather than getting all melancholy.

What I'd like to happen is that the girl I like who keeps giving me mixed signals, even after I tried it on with her and then backed off, will try to get it on with me. I haven't decided whether I'd say yes or turn her down. Depends how evil I'm feeling!

Nothing on Valentine's day, but I'd totally hit the stores afterwards with him and buy a bunch of half-priced Valentine's Day themed chocolate. If I could get a boyfriend that could take advantage of things like that, it'd be heaven.XD

9 Name: Piraten : 2008-01-20 04:39 ID:qBALwJq/

If I could, I would give my ex gf some chocolate + a rose and some hot sex.

10 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-20 07:08 ID:t8CBR+h0

I'd love nothing more than to just pounce on the guy I love and REALLY let him know how much I love him, if you know what I mean.....but he doesn't even know I feel that way about him arg.

My God!! U'all have such interestin' ideas.

I'm really happy this year's Valentine's Day isn't on one of those days that involve have to go to class the next day (my girlfriend and I don't have class on Friday). Anyways, after class Thursday, I hope to bring my gf to a Japanese or French restaurant in town for an early dinner, and probably buy her roses as well. However, that's only half of my Valentine's gift. The other half is giving her the novel and manga versions of "Be With You" (a.k.a. Ima, ai ni yukimasu). She loves it when I give her something like that.

On a side note, I'm sadden to remember that NO GIRL had a crush on me and wanted to give me chocolates (no...not like elementary school when u were FORCED TO). My gf and I had already started a relationship when our first Valentine's was together. Sad...I'll probably never feel how it's like.

12 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-20 14:00 ID:8dFPZubO

probably nothing much. we'll both be attending night class at the same place on that day but we're in different classes so we won't be seeing each other much in the evening.

13 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-20 14:02 ID:8dFPZubO

i never liked it much in school...i never received much gifts from friends or classmates...only from those nice ones who got stuff for everyone in the class.

This'll only be the 2nd year where I've been in a relationship on Valentines day. She's down for the week. We'll be waking up next to each other, and having a romantic lunch together, but she's heading back to Glasgow during the afternoon. :(

We're gonna do the full thing on the 13th.

If he's single, do it.
If he's not, do it discreetly and gracefully.
What's the worst that could realistically happen?
A bit of heartbreak and maybe a lost friend. Big deal, you'll get over it.
You have a little to lose, but everything to gain.
Myself, even in relationship it would be flattering and good to know the option is there even if it might be a little awkward afterwards.
But, do not ever, ever use the word 'love' unless you're sure he feels the same way.

in my first relationship. going to leave a teddy bear holding a rose on her desk while she is in class. nice little surprise for her when she gets back from class.

Valentine's day is going to be extra special this year. I'll wake up really early, go to work, come home, jerk off, eat some instant ramen, and then read a book until I go to bed. Err...wait a minute, that sounds a lot like every other day of the year...

Are you going to cry yourself to sleep, too? That's what I look forward to most this Valentine's Day.

Are you stalking me? There's no way someone can just know EXACTLY what I do everyday.

might try and see her after school

My boyfriend this year is determined to get me flowers. I've gone without receiving anything for this lovely day for so long that I feel a little weird getting something finally. I don't know if I'll end up sending him anything as well (he's more of a 'guy should treat a lady' kinda person) but I pondered making him sweets since his mother isn't a great cook. Or I could make him a card since he's been wanting me to draw him something.

24 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-22 17:33 ID:4I62R/yY

I'm going to class, then playing violent video games when I get home (assuming I don't have homework.) Typical Singles Awareness Day for me. =]

This is the first Valentine's Day that I don't have work...so I'm happy for this year.

here, I don't have a gf nor anyone I admire, either. I'm not going to get angry over it though, not worth it for an overcommercialized holiday that's not even really a "holiday".

29 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-01-24 13:10 ID:PcL6+GTg

The only girl I admire is married. I won't be seeing her on that day in the first place. Valentines day is really only cut out for people who have someone already, or people who are still in school or working in a large company where they will actually come into contact with women.

White day falls on a shit day this year too.

VD is a hallmark holiday. I personally loathe the day.

The only woman I admire tried to set me up with someone else. Ha. Little does she know I am a persistent idiot.

I don't think that should be abbreviated that way.

But it's oh-so accurate!

If I had a girlfriend and some money and tolerance for the corporate induction of this holiday I'd take her to Finland and have a picnic amongst the bitter, grassy, mountainous hills that overlook miles and miles of foggy lakes. Sigh.

I think you might mean STI. They've been using that lately because not all infections you can get are actually diseases.

P.S. PWNED.

>>37 Is that what you tell your johns? "It's not a disease, it's just an infection." How's that working for you?

i might make chocolate for him (a la japanese honmei-choco), but the chances of anything from his end are slim. what a great first valentine's day, meh.

Had two relationships but never had a relationship come valentines day. I'll probably go to a very populated vacation resort alone and enjoy the valentines day by myself, again.

im too lazy to quote each of you, but you know who you are.

there's no point in making a big deal about it if valentine's day doesnt apply to you, guy or girl. it's not single awareness day, its not omfg fuck this day, it's just another day lol. our time will come; have patience.

Wait, let me get this straight. You bumped a thread about Valentine's Day to tell the people in it to not make a big deal of it, despite the fact that the last reply was a fortnight ago?
