Advancing on a girl... Am I doing it right? (5)

Hey /love/, I normally just lurk here and what not. Sometimes for pointers, sometime for teh lulz. But now, as most of these threads go. I need some pointers...

Here is the situation:

I've started to get to know a girl in my school. I never even considered her for a moment until I was having a bad day. (Valentine's... go figure.) To cheer me up, I got a rather nice gift of a hug as a Happy Valentine gift. Being somewhat level-headed, I considered the hug as a act of friendship just to play it safe.
But afterward, when I arrived at home, I indulged as most men in the art of fapping. (To Hentai/Porn/Imagination/etc..) As this went on, however, I started to think of her and the usual knee-jerk reaction "OMFG! Sick Fuck!" and actually stopped masturbating for about a day. (Which is quite shocking, seeing as how I only have the will at best for two days.) This and some other thoughts made me start to wonder what love is and what not.
Whilst I am the loner/geek (FTW!) type accustomed to huddling in a corner with resin figures/companion cube, recalling the advice of /love/, I decided to start talking to her more often, but just enough to hold interest. These attempts have ended in another embrace, a walk with her to her vehicle, (As I, a devoted geek, have none.) and a few awkward talks from her (As in blush-esque, "Oh Hey! How was you day? Are you okay? See ya!" from the both of us.)
With all this evidence, I would think that things are going hunky dory, yet she told me in afterschool theater that she is going under some major stress and would have to quit production in a week. Also, (probably because I didn't really speak loud enough) I couldn't get her attention in the cafeteria (Which was probably for the best since she was with a few friends.) so that was a tad disconcerning.
The main point of this rambling post is where should I go from here, am I doing it right, and how paranoid am I? Help me 4-ch, you're my... err... one of many... sources... of help.
