Hello! I'm really unsure about this one person I like... We always seem to talk for a long time, like for more than 4 hours on the phone, and even longer online. I'm not sure if she likes me or not though. I really like her, perhaps a crush, perhaps love... We are into the same things and hang out around the same people, and have been friends for a very long time. Though, when someone asked her who she liked she replied "Unfortunately, ****(name blanked out)." Why did she say "Unfortunately" about liking me? What does it mean? She also said that she thinks I like her... I'm soo confused....
women aren't people.
well, atleast she said she liked you.

well, at least you aren't gay
Maybed she said unfortunatly because you aren't asking her out or anything. You should be more confident about your feelings I know its confusing with things like this but you should be more confident and strong with what you feel. Never give up trust your instincts!
Thanks for the help. I'm going to ask her out tomorrow. I hope I don't fail. X_X
Be careful about it don't just follow my advice ask for one of your friends advice or something but good luck! from your story it seems like it should work out fine. You said you've been friends for a while so you know how to talk to her what she likes and all that, and she said she likes you. I'm pretty sure it'll work out. Keep us updated
she prob said unfortunatly since you have yet to ask her on a date.
basically- grow some and ask, since shes basically bitch-slaped you that she likes you :/
People aren't people
Soylent green is people
Therefore, Soylent green is not people,
She said yes! More details to follow...
Details requested.
Hooray! Congradulations! see I told you it would be fine
Alright, I just got back from a picnic with her... But there is bad news. She actually said "I love you" there was a brief pause in the conversation and she continued "But you know, just like a brother. I'm not really into dating.". I'm still confused... What does this mean?
> I'm still confused... What does this mean?
Either she's the ultimate tease, or she's testing the water. The "but..." bit is just to keep things safe in case.
Honestly, why would a person say something like that? Think about it.
When such things happen, I usually take it as a joke and swap one back. Example: "Oh, really? Man, I'm wounded. I'm so much hotter than any bro." The (attempt at) humor keeps it safe as well.
The idea is to keep giving out positive signals and encourage further advances. Flat out saying "I love you" tends to make things uncomfortable, and can sink a budding relationship.
Or maybe that's what she really thinks, but it goes counter to everything I've seen and done.
i guess it really depends on how she said i love you...
if she meant it.. and you didn't respond... she took it back.
or slip of the tongue and she took it back since it's still early in the relationship.
Ok, thanks everyone. I'll try and talk to her tonight.
Cheers
Well I've arranged our official "First Date" because the picnic date was with other people. We're going to see a movie tomorrow night. Don't know what to do. Advice would be great!
P.S. I actually got her number, before I was just talking to her on MSN. w00t!
I don't have much advice for you I'm generally terrible with these things but I think if you can definitly try and take her somewhere after the movie like the mall or a fast food place even just a gas station to get an icee or something. Also definitly try to hold her hand at some point umm.. just be yourself don't be nervous or uncomfortable because it will make everything go bad if you are and there is no reason for it. I wish I had better advice. You should be fine though Good Luck!!
Well, the movie went well, and tomorrow we are going to a park to walk around. I think we are really getting along. Thanks everyone!
Op here... Does anyone read this thread >_<
