(x-posted to General because I'm not sure where this question is supposed to go.)
So, what's it like to be part of a military family (US)?
I'm particularly curious about moms/wives and home life.
Right now I'm in a serious relationship with someone who is very likely to join the military (Air Force most likely). From what I've head about being a military spouse, it sounds like it will suck.
If you have stories, opinions, advice, anything, it would help. All the sites I can find on Google are basically support groups telling me to ask Jesus.
I was born on a battlefield. Raised on a battlefield. Gunfire, sirens and screams... they were my lullabies... Hunted like dogs, day after day... driven from our ragged shelters... That... was my life. Each morning, I'd wake up... and find a few more of my family or friends dead beside me. I'd stare at the morning sun... and pray to make it through the day. The governments of the world turned a blind eye to our misery.

not sure if this is any good.
I live in a military town, and both the husbands and wives love to cheat on each other.
True story.
