Well this is probably the only romantic thing that has happened to me (and a little sad too)....yet. P.S. its kinda long^^
I had a friend since 4th grade that I had a crush on for a long time. We always shared anything from
secrets to food and we always hanged out. I reached high school and decided that being friends wasn't
enough so I got all my courage to say what I really felt. Alas, I'm a spineless shit-face and it ended
up the in an awkward situation. We didn't speak to each other after that.
Months passed and I decided to apologize to her for being a jerk and went to her house. While riding my
friend's car, he asked me where I was going. I said I'm going to HER house to talk. He was surprised and
told me that she is having a farewell party that night. "WHAT!!!1!". I was shocked to know that she is
leaving for the states in 2 days. We changed course and were heading to the party. I met her and I asked
her that we go outside to talk. She agreed and followed me. I started of angry at her for not telling me
about her going abroad. We exchanged very hurtful words and that was the worst night of my life. I don't
know now how many tears she shed and I apologized. She seemed to relax a little and looked away from me.
Then, I told her the reason that I got angry was because I'm her best friend. I cared for her and I need
to know what is going on. I need to know because I..I...I LOVE YOU!!!
She was dumbstruck and was just staring at me for a few seconds. Then tears started to fall again on her
face. "What's wrong? I'm sorry for-". She stopped me. She looked at me and said "I'm not sad or
angry...I'm really...really happy. I'm so happy that you said it to me. I can't describe my feelings
right now because...I love you to and it's really a dream come true...". I have never realized what her
feelings for me were. I was only conscious of my self and didn't try to get to know her truly. I pulled
her face close to mine and we kissed. It was only for a few seconds but it felt like forever. The next
morning, we spent the whole day together to get to know each other better before she departs. I told her everything and she did as well. At the end of the day, I promised her that I will work hard and I,too, will go abroad someday and we will meet again. She looked at me with a smile and said "I be looking forward to that". And up to this day, I am still working hard hoping to fulfill my promise to the only important person in my life...
