There's a girl I met this summer and we really like each other. but she lives like 300 miles away from where I live.
I might see her at the end of the year but if I don't I won't see her until next summer.

We talk on the phone and text each other at least once a day but it's gonna be hard when school starts.
She just broke up with her boyfriend who treated her like shit,
so she probably won't be dating anyone for a while. I'm fine with long distance but I don't know about her.

Talk to her dude. That's the whole point of a relationship and is even more important in LDRs. If you start this thing by not communicating and asking questions around, you're doomed from the start.
