what should i do? (4)

I've been dating a boy since September. Let's call him Buckley.
We met through anonidate and he is relatively funny, cute, etc. We'd be...just O-K friends if sex wasn't involved. I feel like he thinks there's a serious emotional connection there, but frankly. It's one-sided. Sorry, Buckley.

So what I'm asking is:
Is it me nitpicking?
Or is it time to say goodbye to Buckley.

  1. He's sentimental as HELL and I am quite the opposite. After sex, he wants to cuddle and stroke my hair and all I want is to get a glass of water and go smoke. Not be touched. He'll say things that are vaguely creepy to me like, "Don't you wanna stay like this forever?" and it makes me shudder. I've told him this a lotttt, that I hate cuddling, but I haven't said anything about his creepy-mush talk cause he's an awfully sensitive fellow.
  2. This is probably a really tiny thing but holy hell.

He takes things from my plate at dinner/steals sips from my coffee/drink without asking. I'll be eating pizza while we watch a movie or something and he just takes a slice off my plate, no questions, no please. Or at the coffee shop, without asking!!, he won't order a drink. He'll just drink mine.
without
asking
I wouldn't care at all if he wasn't just assuming I'd let him.
It also is fustrating when he'll eat half my meal and not offer to split the check or anything at all.

3. He can't hold down a job. I've been working steadily for the past year, but he's gone through a Mickey Ds, a warehouse and three temp agencies in the past six months. Currently, he's jobless (suprise) and is living with his dad while he does nothing but put in apps at gas-stations and plays on the computer.

As bitter as I sound, Buckley's really not a horrible guy. He's sweet enough (cloying-ly) and well. I guess he's cute.
But after our dates, dinners, movies, etc.; I always find myself wondering what I could be missing.

Rationalization (last paragraph) is not healthy. You've listed good reasons not to stay with him. What is missing is your common sense.

Well, It seems anonidate can actually work? That's interesting to know...

Anyways, you said it your self, it's a one-sided relationship, and you have lots of misgivings about it. I wouldn't waste any more of your and Buckley's time. Just break up with him

That's sad OP, you have no choice but to break his heart ;_;
