Distance woes (3)

Why do all women that seems interesting live in every other part of the country than in the area where I live?
Every girl I know within a reasonable radius is either taken or not somebody that I wish a romantic relationship with.

The issue at hand is this girl I know.
To say that I love her at this point would be exaggregating, considering we've barely met, and that was before we actually got to know each other.
Even so we've been talking a bit lately, which I enjoy a lot, and I feel that she might be the one I'd like to share my future with.

I just don't know how I'll go about getting any further. I'd love to ask her out but she lives so far away that I'll have to take an overnight bus, or perhaps catch a flight, and I don't know if showing up unannounced is such a good idea. She lives in a rural area which I have no other reason to visit as an excuse either.

I've been thinking of simply telling her that I think she's interesting, but I don't know how and fear that it might just put her off.

Take it easy and be playful with her, don't act too friend-zone-inducing meaning, let her know you're interested through simple gestures and stuff, don't be too extreme and visiting her right now isn't a really good idea.

Thanks. That is pretty much the approach I've been trying so far - not too extreme, not too friend-zone-inducing. I just don't know if I'm doing it right.
