Hey. >_< I'm 16 years old, and I've fallen in love with someone that is 1. from another country 2. 23 years old. 3. Shorter than me 4. Supercute
I think he likes me too because he's said "I always think about you" o.o But then he also dated someone and I pretended like I didn't care.
I've liked him for 6 months now, but I don't know what to do! He's a very precious friend of mine and I don't wanna ruin our friendship by telling him I love him....
Is telling him worth it in this situation? What can I do to make the pain easier to deal with? :< Help!
I don't think you should really trust someone from the internet, even if you have known him for a long time.
Have you seen pictures of him? Are you sure he isn't a poser?
Anyway as of now, is he still dating the girl you mentioned before?
Oh God...I just went through this last year with my French friend! We talked on MSN a long time ago, and then she resurfaced to reveal that she's moving to America to find a boy she's bein in love with for 4-5 years. My gf and I helped her how to approach him face to face. After a month or two, she found out he wasn't the same person she though he was on the Internet. Instead of being charming and sophisticated, he was a jerk and inconsiderate. 2-3 dates later, she gave up on him...QUICKLY! She cried, wondering why she jumped on a plane to see him I told her though, "Enjoy the fact that you are in another country...making new friends that care about you." Now I want to msg her on FB if she misses America (right now she's in Australia).
Moral of story: don't get your hopes high online! Even if you met him face to face before, people have their personal dark side they won't show because they are on the other side of the world. However, if you still like him...go to him personally and hang out for a few days. Confessing now is <10% likely for success...and this ain't no soap opera shit. If neither of you have time otherwise, drop the dream and just stay as friends (spare the damage for both of your sakes).
Well to 2- I've seen pictures, and he sent me a video too o.o
I haven't dared to ask him about the girl I mentioned, but he hasn't said anything about going out with anyone in a while so.
to 3- Thank you, for the story and for the advice! I... might visit his country next year (not only for him but because I love his country) and he might visit mine (same here, not only for me)and I could meet up with him and see what he's like for real ...at that time, I guess? :) But.. I guess I wont confess then X]
You're 16. Love is not a thing for you yet.
Fuck. Kids these days...
Stupid girl. You're part of his fan club. He doesn't give a shit about you, and if he ever wanted to meet up then it was purely for sex.

Hey, it's perfectly possible to fall in love at 16.
16 is the age of love. Secret of Mana taught me that.
>>4 Are you two at least on the same continent?
Whatever you do when you do get together, assuming the affection is mutual, I hope you make sure it's legal in whatever place you do it. That kind of age gap can get people in trouble in certain uncivilized parts of the world.
