I'm not sure if this shound go here, but... I'm looking for new manga, ones that can be found in a local Barnes and Noble. (Since I get a 35% discount)

I'm preferably looking for gothic, yuri, comedy, and ecchi. Yaoi is not acceptable.

What have you read?

Barnes & Nobles has most of the mainstream American releases, but they usually don't have all of them.

What are you talking about, yaoi is always acceptable.

NHK ni Yokuso!!

It is a must-have!

Gothic: The Godchild series is good so far. Kaori Yuki is a good author to look to for gothic stuff.

Comedy/Ecchi: Welcome to the NHK!! was already mentioned by 8, but I'll second it. Genshiken is good if you want a laugh at otaku in general.

Barnes and Noble will never carry any real ecchi or Yuri. They're all angsty with the "Omg, someone will see it and sue us!"

Seconded. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the anime, and I love the anime.

Also: look towards one-shots. I've gotten way more emotionally invested in some one-shots than I have in any manga. There's actually a few ero ones that have nearly made me cry before. I recommend "Hotel". Rapidsearch it, it's amazing. It will blow your mind.

ecchi = "naughty/dirty" or erotic content/style/innuendo

yuri = "lesbian" content. from the flower (lilly is it?) Not sure why it's called after that.

Nope imo Manga >> Anime

In the manga everything is more detailed, and we get to see much more hot scenes.^^

"Hot" can mean too many things.
