Which royalty kicking ass story is the definitive one? Which has more comedy, action, or emo? Do either of them go anywhere or follow a fight-of-the-week setup?

And why have I not seen any crossover H-doujin yet?

Vaguely on-topic, that skull and crossbones (with chainsaws) logo the anime uses, is that from the manga? I've been looking for a good high res copy of it but have been having a spot of trouble finding one.

well, from their Anime openings, I think both of them are retarded, and I say that as intellectually as possible. They seems a little too bland. upon saying that, my fiance just bought a manga of Monster princess (i assume, with the chainsaw and all) and she said it was pretty funny, so i dunno what to tell you there. All i'm saying is, just from watching the anime openings, I didn't see anything special or unique that would peak my interests that wasn't cliched already x 1000. (Then again, the opening for 2x2 = Sinobuden opening deliberately put that stuff in the opening despite having no relation to the plot for comedic effect, but I don't think that is what's happening here)
