I don't know what type of music it is actually ("rap" maybe?) but the chorus goes "shut up just shut up shut up". He is playing it full blast from his laptop.

This music makes me want to vomit. Why does he actually like this shit? And why won't he fucking wear headphones goddammit?

Mainstream music from any genre generally tends to suck, and since casual listeners will mostly only hear this subset of the genre, they erroneously assume the whole genre sucks.
