Not necessarily what's the "best" of other countries - just what can be seen all over billboards and on the radio.
Like, Russia has Taty/t.A.T.u. right now. Germany has Rammstein. Japan has... okay, Japan has a lot going on.
Just for curiousity's sake, what's the big names in other places?
Do you mean just domestic "artists" or do you also count international ones?
Let's talk about Indian pop music! :D

And no, anything but Indian music. Someone has got to stop them
Aw. I like Indian music. ^^;
if there is onething I hate it's Mexican Polka. I don't know the real name of it but I hate it so much.
BHANGRA!!
in Hong Kong, it's all melodramatic sad love songs... it's quite annoying, really. You'd think such a big population has different tastes, but no. You turn on the radio, it's all the same kind of songs about love and how love sucks, etc.
>>8 I hate all the emo artists they have going on there. There was one music video of some guy crying over the girl he's singing about the whole time. it's like stfu and GTFO my TV.
Didn't happen to be Guang Liang - Tonghua?? I really love that song. It's whiny but an exception for me :3
no the guy was a bit uglier than that. :P >>10
LOL. We have coldplay. Not good unless you're emo. They're the new softer Linkin Park I swear.
i hate emos, goths, punks, i dont care what u listen to isnt real music and wearing make up and dressing gay dosent make u cool either
Being completely unable to spell English words, however, makes you cool as fuck.

just to ask you,
where are you from?
and this thread is about what the fad in other country.
so, what's the country these groups are popular?
Take That are pretty big here in Britain right now. I used to think their new album sucked ass, but my mum won't stop playing it and now I think it's awesome.
Is it true that people in America don't know Take That? What a thought.
Maybe too much of it isn't.
Rock and indie is pretty big in Australia.
-Wolfmother
-Eskimo Joe
-Silverchair
etc.
R&B, rap, urban is pretty dead around here.
"Indie" (though most of it on major labels) is bigger than ever here in Britain as well. We've got Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs etc.
Last I heard of Silverchair was 5 years ago with the video for that "Greatest View" song that got a lot of playtime on Kerrang! TV (rock video channel). Good song, but last I heard from them.
