Techno compression (2)

I want to make good, minimalistic techno, like Reeko, Jeff Mills or Cari Lekebusch. Not the amateur-sounding crap that 99% of all kids with a computer and a copy of Fruity Loops puke out. As far as I understand, compression is the key. How do I do it? Please teach me compression for dummies.

I searched for "sound on sound" compression and got these 2 articles as the first hits. They probably have more if you search the site but this should get you started if you haven't already read them. I think they have a forum too where you can ask
