I like "Change the World", though I'm not sure if it's a cover or not.
Sorry, forgot to add this in the original post. Is there anyone like them? I also listen to stuff like India.Arie and D'Angelo/Eryku Badu.
no. get out.
Wow Bone Thugs. You never hear anyone talking about them anymore. It's almost like they never existed even though they were one of the most popular groups in the 90's. Unfortunately, when Eazy-E, the group founder and manager, died of AIDS they had a bit of a falling out. They all had some money in their pocket and each of them thought they could make it as a solo artist.
Anyway, to answer your question no there are no groups that are really comparable to the thugs IMHO. They had a very original harmony/speed rap style. There is rapper called Twista now that has a similar speed style but he has none of the harmonization.
If you are interested in groups/solo artists that use the same sort of content for lyrics they used you should look to other rappers around the same time period. Dre, snoop, spice 1, scarface, etc. Also you could check out eazy-e's solo albums and stuff he did with NWA that was really good. He was a famous rapper in his own right. But alas that was a different era of rap the like of which we'll probably never see again.
Despite kind of goin downhill since Eazy died, there better as a group than individual acts. Have you heard the new with Kanye production.
Eazy died?

Their prophecy that the world would end in 1999 probably didn't help.
Age for a pretty good group.
