Grado SR-60s. They sound great.
Before that I was using a pair of Sennheiser HD-280 Pros, which cost like three times the price, but I don't think sounded much better. It's not a fair comparison though, because they were so uncomfortable and fever-inducing, I couldn't really evaluate the sound quality. (Also I wasn't using an amp, but I've never met anyone who uses a headphone amp and isn't a total geek, so I think that's something I want to steer clear of.)

Good sound, the bass is tweaked just a little, which is how I like it, and they are headphones, not buds (can't stand those little suckers). They come with a detachable extension lead (in case you have a remote), and they fold up nicely.

Previously I was using a pair of Stanton XXIs which probably went out of production in 1983. They still work fine but compared to the AKGs the bass is really lacking. Either that or the AKGs have too much bass :D

Grados are comfortable for you guys? I've had the SR80s for about a year, the stock pads of which have caused recurring sores on my outer ears all the while. I've learned to endure the pain and have kept them in the hope of developing calluses, but it hasn't happened yet.
Sennheiser HD 595, the OP's big brother I believe.
I have them on all day and forget I'm wearing them.
Really natural sounding, smooth and sweet, and you don't need an amp to drive them.

I have a pair of Grado SR-80s, with a different pair of pads. The stock ones are god-awful - Look into getting a pair of replacement pads for a Senn HD-414. (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/116351-REG/Sennheiser_H19545_H_19545_Ear_Cushions.html)
The yellow color is silly (I just Sharpie'd mine until they were thoroughly black, then washed out the excess ink from them a couple of times with soap. Worked wonderfully for me), and it sounds utterly rediculous, but trust me, it works, and it makes all of the difference in the world for Grados.
When/If you obtain your pads, simply cut a quarter-sized hole out of the center, and put them on your Grados backwards (As in, the factory-made hole resting on your ears, and the self-made hole on the headphones) - The sound quality is no different from the stock pads, and it's infinitely more comfortable.

I actually prefer my HD-280s to my Grado SR-80s. Honestly, the Grados only get use when I'm out of the house (Although that's relatively often), and at home, I use my HD-280s almost exclusively unless I'm settling down with a rock album. Grados render Rock far better then the HD-280s could ever hope to, but fail miserably at most other music types, while the HD-280s are a jack of all trades - Good but not great at everything.
I personally have no issues driving them from any of my sources - Laptop audio, MP3 player, CD player, Stereo, etc, and nowadays, HD-280s go for about the same (or less than) SR-80s. Lowest is about $70.
Man. I can't stand having those HD-280s on my head, they really do make me hot and sore after just a few minutes. The SR-60s are maybe not the most comfortable headphones in the world (I guess?), but I feel fine after using them for like two hours straight. So far better in my experience. Your mileage clearly varies, though.
I bit the bullet last month and got a pair of Stax sr-007 omega IIs. They are amazing.

this is actually a headset for gaming, but the sound is crystal clear and the "filtration" of other sounds is perfect as well.
Sennheisers are meant to be bloody good. Bit expensive though, but I have my eyes on them in the future.

are logitec headphones just pieces of shit, or am i way too violent with my headphones? i broke my third or fourth pair a couple night ago.
first pair: ripped out the cord when it got stuck under my chair
second pair: mic stopped working when i put it in my mouth
third pair: mic stopped working when i put a guitar string directly on mic and mashed the fuck out of it to see what it would sound like on skype.
if thers a 4th pair i forget how i destroyed it
Keep buying Logitech. Once you're done experimenting with electronics, buy a good pair.

I have a pair of the RS140's--I dunno if it's worth it to spring the extra cash for my model, they were a gift--but they are great, comfortable and good sound.

FM. Very few noise, seriously, even a few walls away from the base. The only interferences are due to the high concentration of electronics and other wireless devices in my room, and they are quite rare and barely noticeable.

SR-60s for home listening, like >>40. For outdoors, I just stick to my iPod earbuds. I would say they're "good enough," although I would like to sometime invest in a pair of those Sony earbuds. I used to have a pair before a friend lost the only pads that fit me (don't ask me how!).
Well, for outdoors I don't really care, just ones that are reliable and in the reasonable price...currently I use Sony.
