Okay, so first off, this is a damn good album. Subjective, I know, but I feel it may be NIN's best since The Downward Spiral.
Secondly:
Releasing The Slip so soon after Ghosts, and for free, might've been a bad idea, as some people were expecting it to be rushed/throwaway (which it's not) and are seeing what they wanted to see. When the dust settles, its awesomeness should be more widely acknowledged.
What do you think about the theme/overall concept, and favorite songs?
(Oh, and for anyone under a rock or whatever, The Slip is a free download at http://theslip.nin.com/)
Correction, everyone knows that The Fragile was TR's best, don't even deny.
1,000,000 + Corona Radiata = The Slip's finest.
I have no idea what the slip is about but I like it.
"Demon Seed" is my favorite song on it.
I have to agree. It's wonderful
I gotta be devil's advocate and go for the poppiest song, Discipline. Its just got a sick beat!
The Slip is great. Letting You is a great song.
Nice and high and far apart
Just like they said
I built this place with broken parts
Just like they said
You chip away the old version of you
You'd be surprised at what you can do
I'm safe in here
Irrelevant
Just like they said
My voice just echoes off these walls
You feel me breathe
I am watching you
I see it all
The many ways you can't get to me
I see it all
I see the hell you put yourself through
Oh, the things I could do (If I wanted to)
My voice just echoes off these walls
My voice just echoes off these walls
I don't need anything at all
My voice just echoes off these walls
And I just slowly fade away
You will never ever get to me in here
