Looking for headphones that:
-Are over the ear
-Have sound reproduction as similar to loudspeakers as possible
-Have noise canceling capabilities
Any suggestions, /music/?
Haven't tried them myself, but I hear those Dr. Dre headphones have superb audio quality (and I'm fairly certain they have some degree of noise cancellation).
I followd your tip >>2, and and came across some much cheaper models that have almost every thing I want. I'm looking at the Audio The Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 and the Panasonic RPHC-500 right now. The Panasonics are supposed to have better bass, but you can't use the noise canceling while listening to music; I can't come to a decision. Is there any model in this prise range that has excellent sound reproduction and lets you listen to music while it cancels noise?
get Sennhesiers or AKGs. If you're on a budget, the Sennhesier HD 202s will be just fine.
Sennheisers are very good. I just happen to have HD 202s, can attest to their quality. Good quality, however I wish I could afford better. Sennheiser really are top quality though.
Sennheiser, AKG, Beyer Dynamic, and Audio Tecnhica are all respectable brands. I have Beyer Dynamics and I love listening to music with them, everything sounds so much more opened and better placed. Just be sure you have the equipment to properly drive whatever you decide to buy.
Get a pair of Sennheisers, faget.
why over ear? it took me a while to get used to my in-ear plugs, but the bass is awesome.

Ruins your hearing way quicker, especially at slightly louder levels.
Also overall bad acoustic.
And makes the ears hurt after a few hours of listening.
skullcandy waaii xD

I get so much bass it feels like my head is stuck inside of a throbbing pillow sometimes.
