I love dragonforce in fact im listening to it right now! Lets talk about all things dragonforce! My favorite dragonforce song is Valley of the Damned. Herman Li is the best guitarist i have ever seen. so what are your thoughts on this?
yeah herman li rocks hardcore. But my fav-song is through the fire and the flames. i have both inhuman rampage and ultre beatdown.
Dragonforce is pretty generic, and their songs are all fairly similar. They're also pretty much outclassed by every other band out there.
I like them, their good! OP, My favorite is Valley of the Damned, its awesome!
woooo go anonymous man! you are now my friend! unlike OTHERS!
I enjoyed their song for what it was but I tired of it. They should make a second song.
They are okay, but yeah, so many bands outclass them. Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, amongst others. They're a bit overhyped, mostly thanks to Guitar Hero, I guess. Li is good, I'll give you that (though the best, probably not).
And no, threatening me of not being my friend won't change that.
This man speaks the truth. Though I still I listen to them every so often, there are better fish in the sea.
Heard one of their albums back in 2005, think it were the newest one. The shredding is amazing, but waiting for the solos to come on could get boring since the songs themselves were so naff and tacked on. The best power metal is when the songs and solos are equally good the whole way through.
The new one on Guitar Hero seems same, cept the song is actually naffer and the soloing is even more brilliant. Chuck the songs, keep the shred guys!
dragonforce made some nice songs, but most of their live performances are a fail... sigh*
well when your playing that fast, your bound to mess up eventually, or as in the case of their live performances quite frequently. -_-

When the concept of your band is entirely based on fast playing machismo, you can't afford to write material you can't actually perform outside of a studio.
And you don't show up drunk on stage, either.
Dragonforce fails for the whole money you pay for albums or tickets. That's all you can get out of it. They manually speed up their records and fail songs live. lol what a buch of true losers
I really see nothing wrong with a lot of studio trickery to make an interesting song. Just don't attempt to play it live.
I now know that DragonForce kind of sucks, but I must admit that they were what got me into metal.
