I know a few right now like Wu-Tang Clan, NWA, A tribe called quest, Jurassic 5, and yea.
Anyone know any real rap music. The rappers flow good and the beats are pretty good. I'm looking for other rappers similar to Jurassic 5 or Wu-Tang Clan
Today's rap is.....bad.
Underground rap would be great too.
what do you mean by "real"? I didn't realize that there were "fake" rap

Ehhh, today's rap is kinda....pop rap now. I haven't heard anyone having the flow except Eminem's new album Relapse. At least he still got that flow but he's kinda drifting away from it. Hoepfully Relapse 2 will improve him.
Check out Busdriver, if you're looking for great flow. It's not gangsta rap, though. I think if you're searching for "interesting" rap music nowadays you have to turn to experimental/abstract hip-hop, that's where the good musicians/producers/MCs are hiding. With the added bonus of having interesting lyrics and universes, so it's all good.
I'll check their music out, thanks.
I listened to Digable Planets the other day and I liked it.
Coldcut, Buck 65, Sage Francis.
Also, if you care mostly about the lyrics, some other types of music you should look into are reggae or ragga. Barrington Levy, Buju Banton and the like. Very melodic and relaxing with a strong message.
If you speak any French, you may consider French hip-hop. There are many French artists who criticize the outspoken mainstream contrast to the American hiphop scene. The lyrics have much more meaning since many of the rappers care more about message than money and as a result, remain in the banlieus of France.

Yeah, well, it's still ye ole "society sucks blah blah blah" message. Okay, we get it. Honestly, apart from bands that are huge because of their universe and yet remain subversive (ie Stupeflip, Syrano), french rap really isn't that awesome. And a lot of them do copy US gangsta rap pimp my ride and all the fluff. Which is kinda ridiculous given the context here really is not the same at all.
Look up Cage, Cyne, Aesop Rock and Madvillian to name a few.
On a side note, Jurassic 5 broke up about 2 years ago.
Japs cooks cool hip-hop. Check DJ Krush and Hydeout stuff.
Also, Roots Manuva and RJD2. And new Ice Cube rocks hard. I haven't interested in gangsta much, but new Ice Cube is sure great album.
