Hey guys! I love really gay american indie music. Can anyone recommend anything that I might like based on the bands in the title?
With NO HELP from ANYONE HERE I've discovered two more awesome bands that I wouldn't feel embarrassed listening to if a cute girl walked into the room. Stripmall Architecture and Apsci were exactly what I was looking for. Stripmall Architecture is something that I feel comfortable just chilling out listening to. They can be very mellow and probably pretty good on the stereo while smoking reefers; if thats your thing. Apsci works best for me when I'm out riding my bike around town. Their song "Crazy Insane" is popy and fun. I love peddling along, weaving through pedestrians when this is pumping through my headphones.
Still open for suggestions guyz!
Fugazi
I like Passion Pit, Miike Snow, The Shins, Phoenix, and Jack PeƱate.
The Postal Service
MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, Yacht
Andrew Jackson Jihad - They're Punk Folk. Really really awesome lyrics. They're not gay indie music but I think you'd like them for some reason. Start off with "People Who Can Eat People Are The Luckiest People In The World". One of my all time favorite albums.
Cloud Cult - Really really relaxing indie rock. Just awesome vibes from this band. Their most recent LP is bitchin'.
Cymbals Eat Guitars - Solid all around. Indie rock. Longish songs. Very sweeping sound if that makes any sense.
Phoenix - Indie rock out of France. Catchy as hell.
Vampire Weekend - People are really quick to hate these fellows due to their upbringing and shit. Awesome music thought. Indie rock.
Portugal. The Man
