MBV was not, is not post rock in any way. They're shoegaze. Sure a lot of shoegaze bands have post rock elements in them and vice versa, but MBV is not one of these bands.
65dos is good. So are toe, Sigur Ros is good as well, but they're not exactly instrumental.
Tortoise is really good, as well. Explosions in the Sky, Russian Circles, Red Sparrowes.
