"According to a new study, most airports in England do not meet EU-recommended nitrogen dioxide limits.

The report from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy finds the worst airports were Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham and Newcastle.

It is believed that exposure to CO2 can exacerbate the effects of asthma, bronchitis and emphysema.

The survey says the only English airport found to be below the recommended limit was Sandown airport in the Isle of Wight."
