"the Institute of Broadcast Science and Technology in London, England, has perfected a new display technology that enables viewers to see through the clothing of any person who is positioned in the center of the screen.

Dr. Sydney Worthington-Smythe, the Institute's director of research, development and strategy, says the effect does not work on actors displayed on the left or right hand sides of the screen. However, he says the lab has found a 98 percent success rate when someone is in the middle of the screen.

"We first tested what we now call 'X-ray TV' three years ago with one of our male lab assistants in a home video," Dr. Worthington-Smythe told TVPredictions.com.
