"The "Long War" is the name Washington is using to rebrand the new world conflict, this time against terrorism."
"It is also preparing the public for a global conflict which it believes will dominate the next 20 years."
I've known about this for awhile but it still angers me for some reason. >:(
hahahhahahah i saw that on a talk show a while back. i thought they were kidding!
Nice branding. I now feel like they're waging war for war's sake. This is not unlike what I think of the recent US actions, but I still feel they could have done a better job.
I'm not American though, so maybe they've just branded it well for their calculated American audience?
Wars now receiving "branding"? Is that not more proof that the government has some commercial interests rather than political?
Wtf. Branding?
Will we be seeing "AMERICA FOR ALL YOUR LONG WAR NEEDS" billboards soon, then?
It's just propaganda. You can't compare it to advertisement.
Methinks >>7 is unsure of the definition of propaganda...

They want to inform people that the war is not going to end any time soon. I guess you could call that a message. whatever.
Re-branding a global war? Honestly...only in the U.S.A.
They call the 'The Great War' World War I now. What's the big deal?

So, what you're saying is the United States of America is ruled by vampiric Nazi remnants? Does that make al Qaeda the Hellsing organization?
