"Jaipur, India – Habib Mian, a retired clarinet player, believed to be India's oldest living person celebrates his 128th birthday on Friday.
According to Gulf News, Habib retired in 1938 and has since been living on a pension. Local Government records confirm Habib was born on May 20, 1878."
cough*Bullshit!*cough
First of all, there's not a living soul left who would've even lived in the 1880's let alone the 1870's. And since when have India's [local] governments kept reliable records? I think it's a hoax.
Heheh, I think so too.
"The longest documented lifespan is the 122 years 164 days of Jeanne Calment" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercentenarian

lol that's not an argument. it's the conclusion.

Oldest man EVAR.
>>5 Oldest man EVAR... in the history of Puerto Rico.
yeah the oldest man ever was some dude in the middle ages that lived to like 160 or something. He met the king of England then died. I'll try to wiki it but without a name it's gonna be hard.
>..is the world's oldest verified living man.
>India’s Oldest _*MAN*_ Celebrates 128th Birthday
yeah, anyone's age in the middle ages comes up with questionable reliability. Not saying some dude back then couldn't live to 160 but there's no way we'd know for sure.
Just turned 32.
I've wasted 41% of my life doing nothing..

HABIB IT!!!1
I guess that's the last power of two he's going to hit. Still, that's one more than most people ever do.

"Havana, Cuba (AHN) - A Cuban man, who claims to be 126 years old, making him the world's oldest person, has died Thursday at a hospital.
Benito Martinez claims to have been born in Haiti in 1880 although this was never proven.
He credits his longevity to hard work, fresh vegetables, not too many cigars, a little alcohol - and never marrying."
>and never marrying

"A 120-year-old woman claims that smoking cannabis every day is her secret to long life.
Fulla Nayak, from India, says she reached the age of 120 by smoking pot and drinking strong palm wine in her hut everyday.
She is living with her 92-year-old daughter and 72-year-old grandson. "

That's feaky. I wonder how many generations of her family are alive?
Do people in India in general have longer lifespans or something? IIRC, I've read before about 110+ year old people from India.

"Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bolden, a sharecropper's daughter who was recognized as the world's oldest person, died Monday in a Memphis nursing home, the home's administrator said. She was 116."
"She reportedly leaves more than 500 direct descendants, including 40 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 150 great-great-grandchildren, 220 great-great-great-grandchildren and 75 great-great-great-great-grandchildren."
"When she turned 112 in 2003, the newspaper asked her why she had lived so long, but all she could say was, "I don't know." "
asians are very durable?
Seems to be a lot of world oldest's ... here!
I bet my pants that old man smokes weed!
"Chuan Chi, aged 107 and a smoker for decades, told the Sunday Morning Post newspaper he had not had sex since he was in his 30s and believed it may be the ingredient for long life.
"I don't know why I have lived this long," he told the newspaper. "Maybe it has to do with the fact that I have lived a sex-less life for many years - since I was in my 30s."

Maybe they just learn to chill the hell out.
Yeah, I saw something on the history channel a few years ago about a guy in England that lived to be 150, then met the king and died after he ate some rich food. I wish that I had his name so I could google it.
160 y/o was thomas parr.
There were others not from the bible that lived over 200 yrs. one from the curan lived over 600 yrs. since the 13th or 14th century. a blind asian has a record. I saw an interview about 40 yrs ago on TV about the oldest living man in the world. He was on a pier fishing. They had a translater ask he secret. He said he was never in a hurry to live, and now not in a hurry to die. He looked alot like a portrait of 969 y/o Methusela except w/o the beard. More wrinkles than you could count hanging all over his face. This tells me that perhaps the 2 give evidence that they were truly old. I thought the interviewer said that he was around 150, but that can't be right. In my geneology tree there was a Scott born in the late 1300's and died in the early to mid 1500's. From the time that his dad died to his son's death was about 203 yrs. And going back to the bible it was writing that Jesus when he resurected Lazerus he said those that believe shall never die but live forever, he was talking about on earth not just in spirit but physically.
