Is South Korea is law-governed country???
------------------------------------
The government ordered Wednesday properties of Japanese collaborators be returned to the state.
The Investigative Commission on Pro-Japanese Collaborators' Property ruled that the properties of nine collaborators with a declared value of US$3.9 million (US$1=W930) be reverted to the government.
Descendants of Japanese collaborators inherited much wealth and land from their ancestors, who earned fortunes during Japanese colonial rule.
The confiscated properties will be used to support independence fighters and their surviving family members.
That's messed up if there are still descendents using these properties in Korea, what happens to those people when the government takes their propery? There are not likely any Japanese from colonial days still living there so it's messed up to punish people who didn't even do anything wrong.
Is there a link to an article? I can't seem to find anything about this on Google.
