visiter of 4chan/4-ch or similar styled img/discussion boards?
this thema makes me really curious.
do they understand uploaded untranslalted comics/pics?
or they don't care what written on them at all...?
it's also interresting that so rapid/many 2ch-phenomena are transfered into
english based boards.

I don´t think the majority of people who visit 4chan understand written Japanese.
I do, however, think that many of the people who visit 4-ch has quite an interest in the language.
I'm not Japanese but I understand the written language to an okay extent, know how to use a dictionary, and go around making silly マジレスs and act like a dorky wapanese. I also understood 90% of that short manga on the Wotaku Soldiers! (I just didn't get that Tri-Star somethingortheother Gundam reference)
