I am in my first year of college at University of GA.
I had taken two classes of Japanese already, but my teachers were not very good. I am missing a lot of vocabulary and grammar.
I am now in JPN 2001, and my teacher is very strict. I am very good at languages, but JPN2001 is my hardest class.
Can someone explain the use of -て verbs to me? That is one of the things confusing me most and it seems like everyone else has been taught it.
Or, long story short: It's a polite command form. There are other uses, but that's the most common, especially in a classroom setting.
て has a lot of way of using.
please show some example sentence.
食べてもいいです。You may eat.
食べています。I'm eating.
食べてください。Please eat.
食ってみろ。 Dig in.
食ってから全部吐いた。 I threw it all up after eating.
食ってやるぞ。 I'll eat that for you.
食べて is slightly politer than 食べろ。
It also sounds feminine.
ボス助けて Help me,boss.
ボスケテ(in manga)
ポケステ(Pocket Staion)
エステwwwww

What a coincidence, I am at the university of NURUPO
University of が ?
That only teaches subjects.
I had to practically drill the て forms into my skull, they're that important
