Kaomoji - Quick IME question (3)

Hello everyone. I apologize for my n00bishness, but I'm trying to use Mac OS X more often, and I am learning Japanese, and trying to input kaomoji. I've googled &c, but I don't know how. Please, 4-ch, help me. OTZ

Oh, and also:

I know there are two ways. 1: write something (I don't remember what) in and press space like normal. 2: Make a text file(?)

I'm using Kotoeri under OSX (10.3.9).

I'm not sure if it's the same on mac but this link has the Japanese shortcuts to most symbols needed for making kaomoji.
