Hello! While this seems like a /lang/ post at first, hear me out. I'm an American person learning Japanese, and I've previously taken classes in French and Spanish. I'm taking Japanese mainly because it looks like a challenge. In all of my classes so far I have gotten to choose another name to use while I was in the class. In Spanish 1 I was Mario, in Spanish 2, 3, and 4 I was Viviano. In French 1 I was Vivian. I kinda want to get a Japanese name to use while I study Japanese, even though it's an independent study, it's just habit I guess. I tried on 4chan but naturally the only replies I got were "lulz, gb/2 basement weeaboo faggot" iiChan tends to be a lot nicer, so I'm trying here now. Can we have a Japanese name thread? In return I can help people out with English names, I know the roots of some and I might be able to help. Before I get in to the thick of it, I want to know if anyone can help.
tl;dr: Japanese names.
Watashi wa sakana desu.
why not just translate your real name into japanese? For example my name is lee and it becomes rii.

is a good engine to do so ;O
Umm, post your name and someone can katakana-ize it, but without your name what are you expecting? :/
