recommend a good japanaese text program? (4)

I have a "language tool bar" one, but it locks up at the worst times. What do you use to type? Also, are there any programs that show the on/kun/english readings for highlighted Kanji.

What is your OS? Just re-install everything cleanly. Also, most non-Japanese text editors suck when it comes to typing Japanese. Use free Japanese text editors.
