So I've been hearing about this trend in men to reduce or remove their body hair. I know in some countries it's less popular than others. But truthfully, what do you think about body hair in men?
How much is too much, how much is not enough? Is body hair attractive/unattractive?
I hate arm hair, chest hair, and facial hair. I get a lot of amused looks when I mention removing my arm hair, but nobody questions the lack of it - until they know, most people have said they've attributed it to my being Asian. Most men will disagree with me (and call me a woman), but we really need to get away from this "hairy = masculine" ideal. Hair in the wrong places = disgusting. Leg hair is alright, your head is fine, and pubic hair is your choice, since most people don't see it.
All hair is normal FFS, it's just a matter of aesthetics. If you are born with it, and it grows normally, it is because that's your DNA.
>>2, you could have just said that you don't like it, you really didn't need to say this:
>but we really need to get away from this "hairy = masculine" ideal. Hair in the wrong places = disgusting
It was slightly disgusting to see someone actually say something like that.
> All hair is normal FFS, it's just a matter of aesthetics.
Tell that to Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Boy.
> It was slightly disgusting to see someone actually say something like that.
Agreed, I just didn't want to be the first to say it.
JoJo actually grew head-hair on his face, it wasn't normal beard-hair, which is similar to pubic hair.
I have hair on my back. My girlfriends enjoy taking turns basking in it's beauty and braiding it into long curls.
>>6 Yes, that's what i do with my boyfriend too ! Women like playing with hair, unless they are some lesbian-oriented-yet-want-to-have-children-frigid women.
It's all fine by me--whatever's natural.
If you shave it off, it'll just grow back, and that's a pain.

I don't think I agree with the odd lesbian comment there. Some women don't like hair.
I like my boyfriend's face clean-shaven and the hair on his head trimmed above shoulder-length. Otherwise? Not too picky. I do, however, prefer trimmed (not shaved-- just trimmed!) pubic hair. It's neater. :D
i think hairy is manly. but anything over the top like a gorilla is just nasty.
i don't like hairy guys. i dont like beards, i can't stand hairy chests or backs etc. I don't care about pubic hair, and it's ok if there's a normal amount of hair on his legs and arms etc, but any exessive amount of hair is really unattractive.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
uuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
It gets on my nerves.
I trim my pits, pubes, and chest.
So god damn itchy...
OMG HAIKU!!!
As a female, I have to say that I'm okay with male body hair so long as it's not ridiculous. If I have to shave my legs and pits or else be a social outcast then I expect guys to at least keep their armpit hair from curling out of their shortsleeved shirts like some sort of overgrown deodorant-clogged sweaty jungle of doom. Clip that shit, damnit.

As a guy, I think this current obsession with not seeing any female body hair is ridiculous. That's the way we humans look, for f*ks sake.
But of course, I am a social outcast for thinking that.
As for hair in men.. well, I'm no authority on what is considered attractive. My view is to just do whatever you want with it. If women start to run away screaming, you can always stop growing/shaving.
Myself, I trim occasionally. (armpits, etc) I don't have much growth anyway so it'd probably just look weird otherwise. And I keep a decently neat moustache for that cheesy 70's German pornstar look.
Arms, legs are okay. Like >>18, I can put up with armpit or chest hair, as long as it's trimmed and not this little tuft peeking out of their shirts.
Hairy backs are a big no for me.
eeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeieeeeeeeeeeeeei
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeoeoeoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeoeeo
The only thing I have a problem with is facial hair.
It's awful! Clean-shaven guys are definately better, in my opinion; mustaches, beards, goatees, and sideburns are insanely disgusting to me. (T_T);
Yeah... i've been meaning to shave, but it seems like a lot of work... (-__-)
It is so weird kissing someone with facial hair. Seriously. I tend to gravitate towards the lower lip and if my boyfriend has stubble? Damn, does that chafe.

I wonder if it's an issue of not-knowing more than not-caring about body hair. Hell, most men I know wonder why they have acne problems when they don't know to wash their face once in the morning and once in the evening to treat oily skin.
Thing is, every day we shave and then get no kiss is like reinforcement that it's not worth the effort.
depends on the person
some facial hair looks good on others
but when it comes to kissing it'll be a pain in the ass/mouth

One day's stubble is fine and three or four day's also works. It's that nasty day-two-without-a-shave stubble that fucking aches.
I've gotten into the habit of mainly shaving for big events, interviews, and the start of school/after school holidays.
Proabbly because I believe in good first impressions... but then I get lazy.
While we're talking about Facial hair.. When a girl starts too grow a mustache it's gone too far and beyond.
Quite scary too think of but I've seen a whole lot of east European women who have a small mustache growing.
Take a look at your granny if you have one, most old folk also share this creepiness.
>It was slightly disgusting to see someone actually say something like that.
More than fucking slightly, but he's an asian fag so just remember that and it'll bother you less.

Some lesbians are also fag hags, oops i mean some bitches are fag hags oops i mean some quote unquote women are fag hags, have a nice fucking day.
>>18
I dont cull myself to be a whore, because I dont want to be, but you can all you want.
>>22
So date a woman because you always will be. Only women shave, fact. I dont care if said woman has a penis, obviously its a transvestite or wannabe tranny.
>>1
It can look good (yay for bears), but most times body hair disguises me.
I have no hair on me except for the head.
>>29
Agreed. Bleach that shit, wax (in many inexpensive nail salons you can get it done for around $10) or, all else fails/is too pricey for ya slackers, just shave.
I have also got pretty much hair on my shin.
But i don't want to "wax" it because i imagine it would be pretty much of a pain.
But also i don't want to use some chemical stuff, cause my skin is quite sensitive.....
As far as from-the-neck-down perspective goes, the issue has been just about obsolesced.

It's cheap, quick, clean, and relatively painless.
I like hair on guys legs/groin/armpit/head. I don't like chest/back hair.
Hairless sucks. There's nothing to feel.
Hairless on Caucasian men isn't great. Legs, underarms, head, and chest are all fine with me. A bit of facial hair is even fine, as long as it's well-groomed and not creepily aging. Hair around the groin is fine but, if it's really thick, I prefer it to be trimmed-- keeps things neater. Back hair? Definite no. Take care of that.
But, yeah. Keep your shit well-groomed, simply. Hair is fine as long as it isn't a tangled, dirty disaster.
Personally? I keep the hair on my head short (chin to shoulder length) and shave my underarms, legs, and pubic region regularly. It feels good. :o)
Back hair is absolute hell to get rid of, as there is no feasible way of doing it yourself (unlike legs, chest and so forth which is merely painful.) By the time you go through the effort to get rid of back hair, you may as well add more money and get rid of it everywhere else.
I think this shave your genitals craze was started by pedophiles.
