Sounds like a metabolism problem. See a doctor and check for an overactive thyroid. If that's what's wrong, you can take meds for it. Other than that, protein makes for good weight-gain. Eat lots of meat.

Drink a lot of milk. Eat a lot of meat. Lift weights. You should be eating six decent sized meals a day.

I have a similar problem, exercising helped me to gain weight. I gained like 3 kilos in 4 months (I know it isn't much), however, I lost them in 3 weeks when I quit the gym. Getting tired made me eat more and what I ate went to my muscles. If you're younger than 18 then you it might be just matter of time for you to start gaining weight, otherwise see a a doctor and ask them to set a special diet for you which certainly will contain a lot of protein. You can start by eating a lot of tuna since fish has more protein than meat.

Eat your carbs. Bread, rice, wholemeal stuff.

>>1 It can be a metabolic problem, check with a Doctor, and be sure to check if your blood sugar levels are fine (a lot of places have this test, and it is made amazingly fast), sometimes not gaining weight is a starting symptom of diabetes type 2, so check that.

If you want to up your metabolism, then the obvious option would be exercise. However, I think the rate of your metabolism is pretty much genetic.

Not OP, I'm currently in the same situation (like, my BMI is a little below 15, technically putting me in the "starvation" category though I get plenty to eat!)

I haven't had much luck, I've been doing pushups and weights and stuff but I don't see much of a difference on the scale, though I'm a little stronger than I was before.

Protein if you have a big appetite, otherwise carb-heavy, don't go eat a bunch of junk. Complex carbs will sorta fill you up but less so than a giant steak, so you might try having a few rolls before dinner :)

But I have the feeling working out is really the thing. Your body's going to just burn up most extra calories. Pick up some free weights and just try using them.
