i somehow got an interview for a job i'm completely unqualified for.
its at a radio station and my job will probably involve writing news about the music scene, wich i know next to nothing about.
Since my current job is at a catholic radio station and it sucks - even though it doesn't demand any effort at all - i tried to give this interview a try.

do you guys have any good tips on faking knowledge about something (i only have two days to prepare)? or just some good interview tips in general?

i'll post results in two days.

Congratulations on getting a job interview at a radio station.
Let me recap on your post, the job requires you to write news and music for the radio person to broadcast? or are you doing the broadcasting?

First, the job at the catholic radio station is still radio experience and that's always a positive thing. Just tell them about your radio station experience at the catholic radio station and tell them the positive things that you did.

Like for example. What have you done at your current job that you are particularly proud of. Brag about yourself, make yourself out as the best.

i'll write news ABOUT music, not music. broadcasting is not a problem, my voice is good. the problem is it needs to look like i know something about music, wich i know shit about.

i hadn't even heard that expecific radio station before. i'm doing it for the first time right now, trying to get some clues about how it works.

thanks for the interview tips though.

Most people are unqualified for their jobs. Just fake it and you'll get a hang of it pretty fast.
