Problem with friends (11)

Recently I've found myself being annoyed by my group of friends from school. I'm pretty close to them but just lately I've gotten tired of the way they act. For the past couple years we've been hanging out pretty much everyday after school and always did shit on the weekend, but now I just hang out with them during lunch then just go straight home after school. Some of them have been getting mad becuase I don't hang out with them anymore but I just don't care. I have another group of friends outside of school, but because none of us can drive and some of them work, I usually just talk to them online.

I've just been wondering what I should do since I've just realized that I've been feeling lonely. Should I just be content with my group of friends out of school whom I don't see often or should I just try to get over the problem I got with my friends from shcool? I was kind of hoping since I'm going to be attending college next year I could make some new friends there, but that's kind of far from now.

Use your head: find something interesting to do with your friends,...

Do boring shit with your boring friends because it's better than sitting on your ass alone. Treasure the time you spend with the cool ones.

They act like typical meatheads. All they do is make fun of people and try to start fights. I think I just grew out of trying to act like the toughest kid in town, there's just no point to it.

Oh and it's not like I find my friends from school boring or anything, it's just that I don't like being around them anymore.

I think you'll feel a lot better about yourself if you're alone as opposed to being around idiots. As you're going to college next year, you should really be concentrating on your entrance letters or whatever you do to get into a college. You'll be sure to meet much more mature and like-minded people once in college, so don't fret about being alone. If you honestly can't stand the thought, just go out with them once a week or so. Remember, you become the people you're surrounded by. If you don't want to go back to being an immature fool (Is that too harsh?), stray from your current group. Your online group can be tons of fun, too. When I was a friendless hikikomori, I joined an online D20 group which met weekly. It kept me from feeling entirely alone. You could try something like that.

Depending on where you live, there may be an orginization offering resources to those entering college, or looking for jobs. I'd think this would be a good place to meet people that are thinking about their future. These orginizations can also help you with all you need to know when filling out applications, etc. so you won't walk away having gained nothing.

Welcome to adulthood.
You're friends will join you soon... hopefully.

Perhaps you could make fun of them in kind for being retarded?
Peer rebellion can carry a heavy price, though.
