Hair Straighteners (6)

Okay! So I'm going to go out to buy a hair straightener. I've googled and found out that I should be looking for:

Ceramic Plates
Advanced technologies such as infra red radiation and ionic technology
Sedu brand

What else?

I really like Remington's Wet to Straight dryer. I never use it on my wet hair but it's still a great one because my hair's really thin and it doesn't make it fall out like other straighteners I've used.

Chi is a pretty popular brand as well. My sister just got one and she uses it religiously and loves it a lot more than all her past ones. The price is a bit hefty, but it works extremely well from the times that I've tried it, and from what I've seen it do for other people.
But, definitely go for a ceramic. The fake ceramic ones just make your hair frizzy and stick out, not to mention you have to go over the same area billions of times.

I bought a Remington ceramic iron at Wal-Mart for around $40, and it works well for me. Be sure to get one with an adjustable temperature. If you have really thick hair, you need higher temperatures; lower ones are okay for thin hair. Mine goes from 280F to 400F, if I remember right. My hair is medium on thickness, but a little curly; I have mine on 340F usually.

I'm also in the market for one, but I know what I want.

Pretty much almost everyone agrees that Sedu is the best. What sucks is I found it on sale for ~$95 a day or two after it went off sale for ~$75. But I didn't buy it then and the price soon raised to ~$110. Bleh.

Solia is supposedly okay (and costs around $75) but gets way less reviews then Sedu.

I'll buy a Solia if I can find it for ~$60, or a Sedu if I can find it for maybe $90.

also, yeah.

Make sure it has adjustable temperature. Tourmaline seems to be recommended also.
