OK, to start off I had ths friend that was really close to me for a long time. Now just yesterday I've had a wet dream about me and him. I am a straight guy but I dont know how this came to be but I am really afraid I might be gay (no offense). This is my first wet dream in a couple yrs. Can anybody come up with a responsible explanation why this came to be.

Thanks.

Dreams are pretty abstract, so you really don't need to worry about them.
The dream probably means you have really strong feelings towards this person (not necessarily sexual!), whether those be positive or negative. You said you were really close to him, so that definately could be the source. Have you recently had any fights, or anything big happen in your relationship with him? That could also be the source of the emotions.
Don't worry, your unconcious time doesn't decide your feelings in your waking life.

It's a dream, for God's sake. I've had a dream about my sister before, quite a few years back... didn't even recall it until I was thinking of a way to reply to your topic. :p

Dreams don't really mean anything...they are usually 'visual' manifestations of random thoughts

Dreams [especially unusual ones like that] are usualy reflections of things your subconcious mind is dealing with. It's very rarely apporpriate to try to interpret them literally. You friend could be symbolising close relationships in general, gay sex could be symbolising a new, maye uncomfortable social situation, or various other things. It's extremely unlikely to indicate that you're gay, if the dream is the only symptom of gayness you've got.
If it still makes you hot thinking about it, or you're seeing your friend in a new light or something, THEN maybe you've got something ot think about.

This may not be of much help, but it's factually correct.

If you are NOT sexually attracted(I am quite sure you know what it's like to be truly sexually attracted) to penises and the potential of a male figure, you are not gay.

It's actually quite that simple. You are, quite literally, required to be sexually attracted to the male figure and the male's genitals to be a homosexual male. The same goes for women.

Thinking, or dreaming about situations like that mean nothing except of being attracted to the thought of sex. Being sexually attracted to sex, and being sexually attracted to the same gender are completely different things.

Honestly, you shouldn't feel quite so embarrassed about the dream. It's no fault to be homosexual, and that you're feeling such impulses toward your friend is simply a sign that you may be somewhat confused and need to shelve your societal inhibitions and branch out into new territory. You should sit your friend down and have a serious, honest discussion about your dream and the implications thereof. He'll appreciate the honesty, and you'll lose the sexual tension that will doubtless build up to intolerable limits if you keep this bottled up.

Many men dream of sex with mothers (and sisters maybe, like #3 said) and this doesn't mean they want sex with them.
If you wanna go deeper into this subject, look for some of Carl G. Jung's works about dreams, they'll give you more info about it.
