Not necessarily. I work in the same field as you do, but I'd never break doctor-patient confidentiality; if only because I'd expect the same courtesy when visiting a doctor myself. You don't take your own work seriously, and that is the terrible thing in this thread. You're in your career to help people who need outside help, not to entertain yourself or your colleagues. I don't care if people treat you 'like a robot,' you CHOSE this field and should have forseen the difficulties. Your patients didn't CHOOSE to have psychological problems; in fact, it's laudable that they're seeking help for them. Man up and accept what you picked for yourself in your life, or find another career. Being unhappy with your job is not reason enough to treat your patients like shit and trample over them.

It just sickens me that I work in the same field as unprofessional dickwards like you. Then again, you're probably a troll. Years of medical school and yet you've confused 'their' and 'they're'?
