Being the ronery guy I am, I want to see if there's anyone nearby as ronery as me. I figure everyone can post their age, sex, and area with maybe a city near theirs.
Me: 22/M/California, USA (near Moreno valley)
Can you travel, OP?
Hm, sure.

hee hee, silly town.
19/m/Newcastle (Australia)
>>22
Yes, it is a silly town, and i am ashamed to live near it.
>>2
Depends where. Within a 10 mile radius or around LA wouldn't be hard, but besides that...
>>20
My personal problem is that I'm ronery, and there are probably people who feel the same. :(
Though, this thread is more just to see who's out there and who's nearby. Especially for those with hikikomori tendencies and whatnot, who wouldn't mind meeting people sorta like them as much as they would with normal people.
Also, sign up at anonidate.com. Let's all request a hikikomori category.
>>26 I agree that we should all request a hikikomori category. I just sent an e-mail to the admin requesting one. Obviously, the more people who request it, the more likely it will be that one is made.
It's practically futile - hikikomori is defined as the opposite of dating.
>>28
Maybe. They could probably pull it off on 2ch, though.
Also, contrary to what you see on Welcome to the NHK, most real hikkikomoris don't even own computers, much less post on forums.
Fail.
>>32
I lol'd because you are actually answering his question
>>30
Really? Where did you get this info from?
I wouldn't be surpirsed if they didn't post on forums, but you would think they would at least be file sharing on share and playing erogames all day. As well as trading stocks, like some known hikkis.
Shutting Out the Sun: How Japan Created Its Own Lost Generation by Michael Zielenziger.
He's a foreign correspondent in Japan, and interviewed some recovering hikkikomoris for the book. Also talked to several therapists and social workers who are struggling to deal with the hikkikomori phenomenon in the face of a government and society that largely pretend the problem doesn't exist.
Zielenziger then goes on to use hikkikomori as a metaphor for a contemporary Japan still trying to claw its way out of recession. Fascinating book, really.

guess the majority of hikkis in the news, stereotyped, and on the 2ch /hikki/ board are just a minority, then.
Protip: The majority of anyone in the news is a minority.
Getting back to the point, are there any hikkis who actually signed up for anonidate? I wonder how they feel about this.
I did - but I think my picture and desc. scares people away. My picture is where I have makeup on and I look like a visual kei artist, but my profile says 'schizo/paranoid'... I should change it, but I'm not actually too serious about anonidate anyway.
I signed up for Anonidate and looked through in the Seattle area, the impression I got was that these women are the female versions of mouth-breathing neckbeards.
Only 3 females have replied? Meh.
24/m/IL
>>42 That's only 3 more than the total number on the Internets.
I looked at anonidate, but I'm not a /b/tart, otaku, goon, gamer, wow fan, and definitely not a furry.
21/F/NJ
I'm already on Anonidate, but it's a little sad that I'm the only girl within quite a few miles of where I live.
There are 7 girls near me.
But the only otaku is friggin bi. ;_;
What's wrong with bi? Doesn't that normally mean you have a chance whether you're male or female?
That just means you have the possibility of hot girl-on-girl action sometime in your relationship.
No, it means the other person has twice the opportunity to pick someone other than you.
>What's wrong with bi? Doesn't that normally mean you have a chance whether you're male or female?
Actually, I've never looked at it that way. Maybe that means they're desperate. :p
>That just means you have the possibility of hot girl-on-girl action sometime in your relationship.
But I wouldn't want that.
I'm sorta a moralfag. I have nothing against bis and lesbians, but I would want at least the first few women I date to be straight.
>>49
But if they were lesbian they wouldn't even pick you, so bi is definitely better.
>>50
I wish I were bi, man. There are always a billion posts from guys on personals boards offering to suck dick. Women never make such posts.
There are women like that, too, but if you're looking for someone decent, that's not exactly the ideal place to seek a significant other. Those are the types of people who are just in it for the nookie, after all.

>>54 I'm just in it for the nookie anyway.
Or to put it more precisely, I crave sex, but I do want a long term relationship and if it happens to be the same person for both then woohoo, triple 7.
