I've been asked a few times, but I wanted to know. This is a question for guys, but girls are welcome to give input as well, I suppose.
"Would you rather be called cute or cool?" And I guess for girls the question would be "Would you rather be with a cute or a cool guy?"
I'd personally be called cute - but that's just because I suck at being cool....
Oh I'm sorry I should've put this in the Romance sub-section... Is there anyway I can go that? (sorry I'm new to this)
Regardless I'd rather not be styled with any such epitome, but if I had to choose, I honestly wouldn't care a bit
I know what I am and who I want to be, people may call me whatever they like
Homer: So I realized that being with my family is more important
than being cool.
Bart: Dad, what you just said was powerfully uncool.
Homer: You know what the song says: "It's hip to be square."
Lisa: That song is so lame.
Homer: So lame that it's... cool?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Am I cool, kids?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Good. I'm glad. And that's what makes me cool—not caring, right?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Well, how the hell do you be cool? I feel like we've tried
everything here.
Homer: Wait, Marge. Maybe if you're truly cool, you don't need to
be told you're cool.
Bart: Well, sure you do.
Lisa: How else would you know?
I'm unsure. Cute can either mean physical appearance, or personality. If you've been called cute personality wise, you're a huge pussy. Cool on the other hand is just gay.

Being called cute personality-wise=you're a huge pussy while being cool is just gay.... sounds like it's a no-win to me then. Is there anything else then?
>3 sounds like has a point though, but if you're not cute or cool, what are you?
>4 Cool or not, i'd rather not be like homer though, lol
I think I've been called both.
so I guess I win the game.
at the same time?
I think it'd be different to be called both, but at different times by different people - than to be called both by the same person and (if even possible) at the same time.

I lol'd.
It's hard to say. Idealistically, I'd go with Mr. Cool guy. But realistically, 99.99% of cool guys try too much. Whether it be with their appearance, or keeping up with the trends.
I find cute guys to be way more charming. Not the pretty boy, sweet talk cute. But the humble, capable, sensitive type. Definitely more relationship material.
Personally, I prefer cute guys. I can take care of them all day.
In reality, I'd go with the cute guy. I can't imagine myself with a cool guy, and like >>10 says, they all try way too hard.
Cute guys seem more relationship-worthy, in my opinion.
for me, it depends. There are different types of guys who get called cute. There are ones that are very good looking, but don't have the kind of qualities that would justify calling them 'cool'. And there are some that have qualities of 'cuteness' which don't nessessarily entail they're attractive, or at least not in a very masculine way, if at all. The ones who are cute like a puppy is cute, or like a little bunny wabbit is cute.
There are different kinds of cool guys too. There is the category of guys who are 'cool' by trying to be, and these almost inevitably in up as try hards, as >>10 pointed out.
Then there is the last catergory, the guys who truly are cool, because of who they are, not because they've made an effort to be. These are rare, but less rare than you'd think. They're hard to spot, too. From what I've seen, they usualy have their own particular style rather than following trends, usualy have some sort of hobby like music, or art, or computers, or something and almost always already have a girlfriend, dammit!!!!
> Personally, I prefer cute guys. I can take care of them all day.
This is the best euphemism for sex I have heard for some time.
no one in our society actually uses "cute" everybody is now using "hot" (and this irritates me)
but putting that aside, it is easier to be called cool as a guy than cute, because that is what society says people should be. So therefor, a guy being called cute is lucky, or is actually really cute. I for one, would like to be called cute.
I've never been called "cute". But my friends says I'm cool and a genius, one of them did reverences to me all night long at a party, calling me "god" >_>
In my book both are fine, but I guess I would find it more intriguing to be called cute,...
I'd rather be called cute by a girl and cool by a guy.
My hubbie and exboyfriends hated when i called them "cute".
Dunno, i think they preffer being called stuff like "Strong Man" and such... (ºAº'')/
..."Strong Man"? That sounds like an insecurity if they need to be called -that- instead of cute... o_o
I'd much rather be called cool by either gender.
