She's not very clear on it, I'm just worried about her because there are times where she doesn't feel too well and I don't know what to do. All I know is that she is lactose intolerant, she takes this medication to help her illness but the medication's side effects are thinned bone density, thinning of the hair and increased chance of developing cataracts. She also goes to the hospital once every about 2 months to get an "infusion" or something like that where she receives additional medication directly into her bloodstream. That's all I know, if you know what she might have please do tell so that I can better understand it and help her out in whatever ways I can.
I have a stepsister I love dearly that has a bad liver. She has to go to the hospital constantly for blood transfusions, and feels fatigued all the time. They say she'll die within a year or two if she doesn't get a new liver. In regards to your friend the doctors are doing what they can about her illness, so don't worry about her medical situation. Be a friend to her, be supportive and kind. That will mean the most to her, far more then any medical treatment.
