Dreams of the Afterlife (11)

Hey all, I don't have money to go see a shrink and there's a possibility that these dreams don't mean anything so I'll just go ahead and post em here. Over the past 2 weeks, I had three dreams that dealt with dying and the afterlife. Normally, I would dismiss these kinds of dreams as anomalies, but since they happened in such a short period of time, there has to be a meaning to it. This post might be long, as I'll be posting everything I remember about these dreams.

The first dream started when I was in a market just minding my own business when all of a sudden, I just dropped dead. However, it wasn't an instant death, as I was falling, I felt the life drain out of me and at that moment, I knew I was going to die, so I started to pray with great fervor. When I opened my eyes, I was in this room that was made with white tiles which covered the whole room. There was also a large group of people with me all looking around the room. Then, I remember a golden elevator appearing in the middle of the room, and when it opened, a man came out and pointed to a random amount of people and said, "You, you, you, and you; come with me", with me being the last one he pointed at. As I was entering the elevator, he stopped me and whispered, "You were lucky you prayed right before you died." I remember that I stared at him for a while then entered the elevator. I remember as the elevator doors were closing, all the people who weren't chosen began to weep cry out loud. Soon, the elevator started to move upwards for a while, then the walls of the elevator just sort of dissapeared and we started to move foward. The atmosphere was like that of dusk or dawn-it had a purplish, orange tint to it and there were names of people floating by. I remember I looked around to see if my name was there, which it was.

As I looked around, I noticed we were floating in the sky, above the US. As I was looking down, I saw a massive hurricane just completely devastate the mid-west, and a new plague emerged from the ruins which completely incapacitated America. At this point in time, apparently alot of people began to come to life and they would tell their stories of their encounters in the afterlife. With all these eyewitness reports, Britain decides to launch a holy war against everyone else, dictating that Christianity is true and that all who does not believe it will perish. I remember watching them launch an attack on Europe, but were instantly taken out by the EU forces. The last thing I remember in this dream was that the EU held a meeting that decided to ban Christianity so that something like this would never happen again.

Ok, that was the first dream. Here is the second one:

In this dream, I was in my house, just having lunch when all of a sudden, a pewter-colored elevator comes from the ground and in it, Satan himself comes out. All I remember of what Satan looked like was that he had the typical goat-like face, but his body was extremely skinny and bony. He was also a blood-red color and kind of hunched over. I remember he came to me and said some riddle or a saying, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was but it had something to do with how I will die and when. All I remember was that I have never felt such horror in my life staring this evil in the face. I then remember running away and towards the elevator that He had come from. And as I went down, I remember Satan just counting how many floors I went down with the elevator.

I guess it was too long, so here is the rest of it:

Ok this is the last dream I had that dealt with my own death and it was also the most recent one.

This last dream also involved me eating, but it was with a bunch of friends at this diner. I remember it had a very smoky atmosphere, but it was a very lively place and there were alot of people enjoying themselves. As I was eating, I remember I looked out the window and I see these Mexican Gangsters walking towards the restaurant with AK-47s. I remember a guy running up to them(it was probably the owner) and they were having some sort of argument. As they were arguing, I remember the guy who appeared to be the leader just shoot him down. At this point, I instinctively get down on the floor, and alot of people follow suit. When these gangsters entered the room, they said something about money, and how the owner couldn't pay them, so everyone in the restaurant will die as compensation. Him and his buddies started on the opposite side of the room from where I was. Although I could not see where he was, I could hear that he was getting closer by the gunshots and the screams that were slowly creeping towards us. At this point, I remember seeing an AK-47 pressed to the forehead of on of my friends, who also happened to be a pastor. He said the the gangster,"Go ahead, shoot me. My soul is prepared", but you could tell that he was scared because his voice was trembling as he said that. To this, the gangster responded, "Where is your god now? Where will he be when I kill you?" and then shot him. After he killed him, He came to me, and I remember I just closed my eyes and then I died.

I didn't feel anything when he killed me, and honestly, I thought that I wasn't dead until I opened my eyes. When I did open my eyes I was in a large room that looked sort of like a lobby. There were pillars and the floors and walls were made of granite. The lights were turned off, but it looked like it was a very early dawn or dusk. As I looked around, I saw a bunch of people running somewhere, but they were all running towards the same direction. I soon started to follow them, and eventually, they led me to a door which had some sort of light illuminating the other side. I immediatly thought that it was heaven, so as I approached the door, I started to feel an intense sensation of euphoria and anticipation, until I opened the door and saw what it really was. It was what appeared to be a factory with workers sitting down on tables assembling what appeared to be fake flowers. As I looked around dumbfounded, the supervisor(or who seemed to be a supervisor) came up to me and said, "Yup, that's the face we usually get when people come here. They expect some sort of heaven or something, but nope. It's just a factory where we make flowers". He then motioned someone to come over and after he came, the supervisor said to me, "This guy will be your mentor, he'll show you the ropes of this place". The last thing I remember about this dream is him telling me the various rules and such and the dream finally ending the the sleeping quarters with me staring at my bed, in disbelief.

Well, there are my three dreams I had over the past 2 weeks. It might not mean anything at all, but at least it'll provide a good read(I hope). But if it does mean something, please tell me, since these three dreams are all I've been thinking about lately.

It'd be cool to know your age/sex/location, and other stuff you think might be useful.

Also, how many floors did it take to get to the bottom of the elevator? Just curious.

Those are some cool/strange dreams. what have you been reading/watching lately? usually I have dreams about things I recently was focusing on so I tend to have a lot of dreams about school or hanging with friends so maybe they have something to do with recent events/things you've been thinking about in your life. It could be as simple as a tv show you watched recently any sort of media tends to stick in my head really easy.

Well, I'm not going to give precise location or precise age(I'm sort of paranoid about that stuff), so I'll say the general area. I'm a male who is in college and lives in southern california. I've been a Presbyterian my whole life, but recently I went through a crisis of faith, but that is starting to go away. Yeah, for the past couple of months, I was seriously doubting my faith because of some questions, but when I worked up the courage to ask my religious leader, he answered them very promptly and very to-the-point, which greatly relieved the burden I was feeling.

For the hell question, I believe it was 13 floors that I went down, which is strange because there is only supposedly 9 levels of hell and I remember Satan counting the floors I was going down, and I remember his eyes widening in surprise as I began to go past the ninth level of hell.

Well, Lately, I've been watching martial arts films and thrillers like along came a spider. But I'm usually not paying attention because when I put these films on, it's usually when I'm working(I work in a video store)so I can't pay full attention to it.

It does seem that my dreams are connected to these things, but it just seems really weird that these three dreams have so much similarity between them, even though they all occurred within a 2 week period. These three dreams are also some of the very few where I can remember them so vividly.

Your third dream might indicate that your faith crisis still isn't unresolved but just merely buried. If we go that way, the second one might indicate some subconscious guilt due to that fact.

But that's probably bullshit.

Anyway I don't think you fully realise how much your third dream is awesome. I mean...

>I immediatly thought that it was heaven [...] It was what appeared to be a factory with workers sitting down on tables assembling what appeared to be fake flowers.
>"Yup, that's the face we usually get when people come here. They expect some sort of heaven or something, but nope. It's just a factory where we make flowers"

Stunning. I want to make a song or a movie or a short story about that stuff.

Hmm, ok. Thanks for that interpretation, anonymous.

In retrospect, it's pretty cool, but I was pretty stunned when he said that to me.

All I can say is, your dreams were cool. I don't ever remember me having a dream of me dying / being dead. Besides religion, are you mentally stable? Did you think about death or committing suicide and the like? So funny thing, you didn't get to go to Heaven (or was the first one Heaven? Or did you come back alive there?), but you got to go to Hell.

Btw, got this from the Dream Dictionary online.
Check this Out.
To dream of ...

Hell

To dream of hell, denotes that you may be suffering from a seemingly inescapable situation. You may have placed your decision or course of action into someone else's hand. Alternatively, you may be possessing many inner fears and repressed guilty feelings. It is time to quit punishing yourself and take it easy for awhile.

Die

To dream that you die in your dream, symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or in your life. Although such a dreams may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm and is often considered a positive symbol. Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something.

On a negative note, to dream that you die may represent involvement in deeply painful relationships or unhealthy, destructive behaviors. You may feeling depressed or feel strangled by a situation or person in your waking life. Perhaps your mind is preoccupied with someone who is terminally ill or dying. Alternatively, you may be trying to get out of some obligation, responsibility or other situation.
