Hi, i am 17. I have uncomplicated GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease).

In other words sometimes i feel a burn in my esophagus... this happens after i eat pizza, spaghetti or chinese food for dinner AND go to sleep late. For example i ate spaghetti for dinner and stayed up late (till 4 am) at about 2:30 - 3 am it starts...

What should i do? I think this is bad at my age...

  1. Don't eat pizza, spaghetti or chinese food for dinner
  2. Don't stay up late

Heart-burn at 17, you could start eating healthier or else you might end up like some people who get heart disease and high blood pressure at 30, and that is potentially fatal.

Try eating more fruits. Maybe not citrus though.
Spaghetti is good, but add steamed vegetables too. In fact, always add steamed vegetables. And stay away from salty stuff! :)

Remember to drink at least 1,5 litres of water each day. And eat fruits and fibers.

If you do that you can probably manage to eat crap aside from that and get out ok with it.

I doubt you have GERD it 17;

Try taking deeper breaths and excercise your abs a bit...

Maybe it's an allergy to something, maybe tomato?

Anyway, most people have this at some point in their life, it's not GERD, that's much more severe
