I have no life (37)

1 Name: Anonymous : 2008-10-18 05:00 ID:7xdNUt7d

I don't really have a life. I go home, go on the computer for about six hours and go to sleep. Moreso on weekends, I'm up until about 5 AM. It's really depressing. I want something to do on the weekends, but I don't really have anyone to do anything with. Help!!!

You have a more exciting life than I have.

Fucking appreciate what you got and what you can do.

What are your interests?

What did you like to do when you were outside?

You need to feed more data into the 4ch oracle, if you want a meaningful answer

I usually play video games, watch Youtube, make video blogs, draw and post on forums. I will also read manga from time to time and watch anime. Just your typical weeaboo.

Get a job somewhere and meet new people. Or volunteer somewhere.

If you like to draw, you should consider going to drawing/art classes. You will definitely meet people there. You could think along similar lines for video making, but it's less easy and straightforward. Depending on where you live, there may be possibilities.

As for your anime/manga interests, you could look for clubs in your area, or let know in forums that you would like to meet people sharing your interests.

You could even consider producing an amateur manga, if that kind of stuff motivates you, and let people know and ask them if they would like to participate. Anyways, you have options.

Do you have a job, and if yes what kind. If not, do you still go to school?

You are alive. You have the prospect of a life.

If you want to get a life then think about what activities help with that.

Computer/internet addiction is very real, if you suspect you have it I suggest selling your computer.

12 Name: Tao : 2008-10-19 16:03 ID:H+SsqcaK

>>11 life without internet/computer? :/ Not EVEN that is worth having friends, bah. You get sick of friends, because eventually they will bore you..SO OVERRATED.

I just think you suffer from "sheep syndrome", where you think that in a magical land all those "other peopl" are having ALOT FUN when in reality they are stuck in the same routine= work, sleep, weekend=party or whatever=work. And this gets old (yes i know i was one of them).

Don't think that having friends will change your life, not really..all that drama, betrayal for some little fun, whoopie!

And sitting in front of a computer all day is a great way to spend your life? It all boils down to what you enjoy. I enjoy using the internet a lot, but certainly not as much as some people here. I have friends and hang out with them every few days and honestly the times I've spent with my friends have been much more fun and memorable than the times I've spent sitting on my computer.

Also, OP never said anything about wanting a job. It just seems like you're a jaded, bitter person who was betrayed by one of his friends somehow and thus feel that you need to help make other peoples' lives shit by discouraging them from pursing positive change. Fuck off.

You sure told him.

17 Name: Anonymous : 2008-10-20 00:00 ID:Heaven

>>12 yes, him giving up computer alltogether is fucking ridiculous. But he should try and get friends, let him learn what it is to have friend. Yes there is drama but there's also a goodside.

>>13 if you never were betrayed or had any drama in your life, i very doubt you had friends. Oh internet friends does not count. Looking at your post, it would seem you are the bitter one, he? Now fuck off.

>>14 I think you meant >>13, he has the lollipop bullshit.

Betrayal and drama happens, but guess what? Life moves on. It's no reason to withdraw yourself from social contact.

i have friends, but im becoming distant with them and it feels good. If i could, i would give some away to you. Actually you should tell us more about your situation, so we could help you more or listen and care :)

>>19 it is a reason if you are just tired of everything and if you actually LIKE being alone. Loner does not mean lonely and it can give you peace. Dunno about the OP, if you aren't happy and you never social to begin with, there is all the reason in the world to go OUT THERE and EXPERIENCE IT.

So go for it, but stop posting crap like "give up your hobbies and change into someone you ARE NOT"

How about you save some money and travel? Go somewhere far..... that's what I'm doing.

Also I got out of that rut of never going out by making a promise to never turn down an invatation to anything. Usually, I would say no because of being shy or thinking I'd stand. Just say YES to any and every invitation you get. And if you feel a bit awkward, the more you go out the easier it gets.

OP here, I do have a job, I work at a local buisness as a PR representative. Basically I do phonecalls and things. Thanks for all your support! But, I still feel like I'm wasting my life away. :(

>>23 I've been trying to save for a while already, but I don't really know where to go...

Well, I went out to a club last night, and I met a few people and we hung out for the rest of the night... I got one of the people's phone numbers, so I'll see where it goes.

Cheers!

Well, I just got back from work. I met with one of the people I met at the club. They're really cool. We went to Starbucks and talked for a bit. I asked her if she wanted to go to a movie. So, we decided to see that new George Bush one on Wednesday. I don't want this to turn into a /love/ discussion though. If it does, I'll make a new thread.

On another note, the verification word was nude. It made me laugh for a bit.

Cheers,

Anon

Op here, I've met some people and we're starting to hang out. I went to see Zack and Miri with some of them last night. It was a really awesome time! I talk with the girl I met for coffee last time. Oh, and we didn't go see the Bush movie, we went to see Burn after Reading instead. It was alright :/... Anyways!

Cheers!

Sorry for the huge bump, but this is the OP from almost two Years ago. The girl that I went to see those movies with? We've been in a relationship for almost a year. I've recently moved out of my parent's house and into a studio apartment, so life's good. I just felt like re-living old memories. Thanks to you, nothing probably would have gotten done.

Cheers,

Hi friend,

My suggestion is to go to India. It's a wild, crazy place but probably the single most spiritual, friendly, colourful, cultural, uplifting places on Earth, while being outright cruel and "real" at the same time.

How much money do you have saved? You could probably travel to some real cool places if you're not the kind of guy that needs a 5 star resort. I spent 8 months in India, with only 5000 Canadian and I had money left over! You'll meet so many travellers and girls and guys and locals too! :)

Ah sorry, didn't notice this thread was 2 years old.

In that case, glad you got better!

Build zombie-proofed forts or tree houses. That should keep you entertained for a while.
