Well, anime characters really are a sort of idealized vision of a human being... compared to the average person a beautiful drawing has a lot going for it, in a way.

It's not weird to be attracted to something or not attracted to something else. I wouldn't worry about that too much. People change and learn new things about themselves all the time.
